Turning towards a better future
Who can be a member
Anyone who has worked for Northvolt, its subsidiaries (NOVO or Altris), or has in the past received an official offer from these companies can join. Any business entities whose majority of employees meet those same requirements can also join. Any other person or company who wants to join can contact us with their request and a board member will take the decision. Members that can substantively contribute to the mission and the welfare of existing members will be allowed to join. To join, there is nominal one-time fee.
Cooperative Governing
The cooperative is governed by vote of its members. Members vote on statutes and elect board members. Board members make governing decisions until the next board member election but major cooperative decisions are decided by membership voting. A financial officer and external auditor are also appointed.
Cooperative Resources
Being a member of Arctic Pivot gives you access to powerful resources to move your career forward. We provide technical consulting, low-cost competence development options, and contract with companies to further research and innovation.
Payment Structure
Being a member doesn’t require actively working with the collective. But if you do decide to participate you will be paid as a full partner in the company’s income unless you choose to volunteer. The payment is a distribution of surplus (income - costs) over time. Payment is typically distributed evenly among all members based on the number of hours worked. If you log your own hours as a volunteer and then decide you’d prefer to be paid, the change can be accommodated as long as it is prior to the last day of the income period
